Overview

We design complex enterprise and consumer products where the interface is the product — not a wrapper. Our designers work embedded with engineers, which means no hand-off shock, no redlines that cannot be built, and no last-minute scope debates. Design and engineering as one team from brief to launch.

The Problem

Most design agencies deliver beautiful Figma files that take six months to build and another six months to fix. Enterprise software UI is often neglected entirely — shipped as functional but unusable. The result is low adoption, expensive training programmes, and eventual replacement.

Our approach

We begin with product discovery — user interviews, workflow mapping, and jobs-to-be-done analysis — before touching design tools. We build design systems that scale, prototype in high fidelity for user testing, and design in the same constraint framework the engineers work in. Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) is not a checkbox — it is a requirement from the first wireframe.

Deliverables

  • Product discovery and research
  • UX/UI design (Figma)
  • Design system and component library
  • High-fidelity prototypes
  • User testing and iteration
  • Accessibility audit (WCAG 2.1 AA)

In practice

The user who did not choose the software

Most of our interfaces are operated under pressure by someone who was assigned the job. That changes the brief. The ICCS quick-response interface is a PIN-gated tablet with compact alert cards and a read-only map, because a responder at a perimeter should not be able to mis-tap a dispatch. Alerts are graded at three levels and an alerting feed pins itself. Clinical capture is drawn for gloved, one-handed use. In each case the scarce resource is attention rather than screen area, and that is decided before anything is drawn.

One engine, several audiences

Artikate iQ runs as four editions — schooling, competitive examinations, corporate learning and maritime operations — on one engine. The corpus and the interface change; the machinery does not. Designing for that means the component library is a token system rather than a set of screens, and each edition is a configuration of it. The same discipline decides whether one product can absorb its next module: the version that has to be redrawn to take one was designed as a layout instead of as a system.

Identity, packaging and the pipeline we run ourselves

Identity is engineered on the same terms as the interface. RIGGED.IN shipped with a full identity alongside a bespoke build configurator, because the configurator logic needed to be ours rather than a plugin’s. The practice also runs content operations. YouOps is our own multi-agent pipeline — topic to research to script to audio to task assignment to metadata, with cost-aware routing across four model providers. Spec v1.2, single-instance deployment, in production use on our own output before anybody else’s.

What is handed over

Design arrives as code, not as a file to be interpreted. The component library that ships is the one the product runs on, so there is no second source of truth to drift away from the first. You receive the source, the component library and the documentation, on the same ownership terms as the rest of the platform, together with the runbook and the training records the engagement produced. Effort for a screen is stated in person-days against a named work breakdown, which is why an estimate is a number rather than an argument.

Where this has run

ICCS

The operator layer of an air-gapped command platform: three-level alert grading, auto-pin of alerting feeds, a multi-layer offline basemap, and a PIN-gated tablet interface with a read-only live map for the quick-response team.

Eleven capability domains presented as one operator model with one audit log, rather than five vendor consoles — released at v1.25.2 on 27 June 2026.

RIGGED.IN

Our own premium PC hardware retail product — identity, interface and a bespoke build configurator on Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL rather than a template and a plugin.

Full identity delivered, with the configurator logic built rather than bought.

YouOps

Our own multi-agent content operations pipeline: topic to research to script to audio to task assignment to metadata, with cost-aware routing across four model providers.

Spec v1.2, single-instance deployment, in production use.
